Kids always seem to be afraid of some kind of monster hiding somewhere in their bedroom. In Charlotte, North Carolina, Saylor Class was one such kid. After complaining of âmonsters in the wall,â her parents chalked it up to an âoveractive imagination,â and took action by spraying a bottle of water and calling it âmonster sprayâ to keep the beasts away. A few months went by, however, and young Saylor was insistent that something was lurking in her closet and through the ceiling. Then, a pest control company was called in when her parents noticed an odd number of bees around their 100-year-old farmhouse. It turns out that 60K, or so, bees had spent around eight months building a massive hive that went from the attic and down the walls of the girlâs bedroom. After three extractions, the pest exterminator was able to remove the beesâĻand a honeycomb that reportedly weighed in at about 100 pounds.
